Greetings Everyone, let me introduce myself. I’m a Carolina girl at heart and I am the “OLIVIA POPE” of events who is known for executing events like a TOTAL BOSS!
People often ask how I ended up as an event planner and the answer is simple. I was born this way. Growing up, I was “that kid” in my neighborhood who invited everyone to gather at my house (never with my parent’s permission) for various activities that I conjured in my head. Fast forward to my college years, I was still the “go-to-girl” for all things social. My first large fête, I planned was my college graduation with over 150 enthusiastic students in attendance and it was executed to perfection. Continuing into adulthood, I planned numerous occasions for friends and then began to realize this was the career for me!
Seventeen (17) years and continuing, I (Perfect Planning Events) have evolved into an award-winning event planner in the Washington DC metro area, thought leadership expert, helmed as one of BizBash’s Top 500 Most Influential Event Professionals in 2020, founder and producer of The Signature CEO Conference, founder and mentor of The Executive Mentor Program, and founder and President of The National Society of Black Wedding & Event Professionals; the first and only wedding/event association for Black professionals in the industry. My experience as a professional allows me to connect with people like you and create moments of a lifetime that you will cherish forever. My passion for the beauty of creating fabulous moments yields to the fulfillment of the hearts of those (you) who have hired me, however, it is my fierce attention to detail and flawless execution that is noticed and provokes a resounding BRAVO! by all engaged in the experience. Classy & Sophisticated. That perfect dress or perfect pair of pants that says, “WOW”, accompanied with a bad ass pair of shoes! But when I’m at home, a fabulous pair of pajamas and comfy socks.
MY KEY TRAIT
I handle chaos with finesse; there is no such thing as chaos.
That question is easily answered by what I don’t like! I love food that is well seasoned and prepared with a touch of Southern love. I absolutely do not like seafood or chocolate – I know it’s weird.
Anything mixed with a well-aged Bourbon, or fine glass of Sauvignon Blanc.
